Jose-Emilio Escoto is proudly from the Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua / El Paso, Texas border and is a recent graduate of NYU Tisch New Studio on Broadway. Valuing new work as an integral part of his artistry, Jose-Emilio has had the opportunity to be in the World Premiere cast of Love Somebody Now, written by Andrew Lippa, devise an adaptation of Anxiety is the Dizziness of Freedom on the Tisch Drama Stage, and perform in a new verbatim theatre piece, The Table, conceived by Tiffany Rachelle Stewart. Jose-Emilio also performed in Sweeney Todd under the direction of Kent Gash on the Tisch Drama Stage. He was selected to train at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art as a member of Tisch’s abroad acting cohort directed by Vivian Munn. Jose-Emilio looks forward to spending his summer at Timberlake Playhouse and thanks his parents, friends, and professors for their love and guidance.
